Supporting Nursing Mothers Through Thoughtful Design
Mothers often experience significant stress while caring for newborn babies, especially when it comes to feeding them in public spaces. Along with emotional comfort, it is equally important to ensure proper auditory comfort in and around the space to create a calm and supportive environment.
A suite-based concept can help encourage a nursing mother community by enhancing peer support, reducing wait times, and minimizing scheduling conflicts. Providing on-demand access to lactation suites through multi-station setups is particularly beneficial for women with unpredictable work schedules, those in public organisations, or travelling mothers.
